Strategic Alliance Consulting Inc. is seeking an experienced GEOINT Systems Engineer. Strategic Alliance Consulting Inc. provides specialized systems engineering, acquisition, and intelligence support to multiple Intelligence Community customers. As the GEOINT Systems Engineer, you will provide technical leadership in content management, the use of standards, and the implementation of application program interfaces for geospatial initiatives. 


  • Apply existing standards and industry best practices for geospatial data and services while keeping current with emerging standards for use across the GEOINT community.
  • Develop professional working relationships to utilize knowledge from content subject matter experts on specific sources of GEOINT content.
  • Work with the Army Geospatial Center (AGC) in the application of Army Geospatial Enterprise (AGE) standards and policy documents.
  • Identify architectural gaps and develop requirements to address content and web service management gaps.
  • Coordinate requirements with government oversight and assure alignment of mission needs with requirements
  • Work across office and contractor boundaries to develop and implement content and service management guidance required to achieve a positive experience for customers.


Required skills/qualifications:

  • Final Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • BS in information technology, geospatial, or engineering field.
  • The successful candidate will possess strong fundamental systems engineering/analysis skill-sets and competencies. 8-10 years’ experience in Systems Engineering and/or Analysis.
  • In depth understanding of GEOINT capabilities, geospatial forms of content, and how AGC develops and applies GEOINT to its mission.
  • Familiarity with the use and capabilities of web services, specifically Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards and ArcGIS web services.
  • Able to view and query geospatial information in a Geospatial Information System clients such as ArcMap, Google Earth, Gaia, web-based map viewers.
  • Knowledge of the Army Geospatial Center (AGC) and how they lead the vision and doctrine for the Army Geospatial Enterprise (AGE).
  • Experience in process engineering, improvement, and process workflow
  • Ability to establish effective relationships
  • Ability to develop and present effective technical presentations; must possess strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Self-Starter and self-motivator
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, graphic / visual diagram editing, geospatial maps and imagery

Desired skills/qualifications:

  • Use of web service provider applications - ArcGIS Server, GeoServer, or other COTS or open source service applications
  • Depth of knowledge of OGC standards for WMS, WFS, WCS, WMTS web services and GeoPackage
  • Database management systems, data modeling, and geospatial schemas
  • Cloud storage and software as a service architecture
