Overview

Requires the ability to review new GEOINT satellite sensors capabilities and how they can support the Army mission sets. Interested in new technologies to include commercial Small Satellites, advanced analytic solutions, and their application to the Army Mission.

 

Responsibilities

Tasks:

  • Engage with the Army personnel to understand their mission needs and use cases and to notify them of new GEOINT data sources.
  • Maintain a baseline understanding of current satellite providers' capabilities and emerging providers' proposed capabilities. Communicate these new capabilities to Army leadership.
  • Evaluate the potential for direct downlink capability in support of expeditionary operations.
  • Assess the analytical, exploitation, and dissemination capabilities of new GEOINT sources.
  • Management skills include coordination with Mission Partners, Government Agencies, Industry, and Commercial GEOINT assessment teams to support the Army TENCAP mission.
  • Test new GEOINT datasets and apply to Army mission sets.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Exploitation of Commercial and/or National overhead and aerial imagery.
  • Experience supporting diverse missions and generating intelligence products through GEOINT and geospatial data analysis.
  • Understand imagery collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination methods.
  • Understand standard imagery formats and properties to include resolution, bands, satellite revisit rates, modes, and polarizations.
  • Understand satellite orbitology to include access and revisit rate
  • Required SAR, EO, and MSI exploitation experience. LiDAR and HSI experience is a plus; ability to learn by formal classes or on the job training.
  • Experience with advanced analytics and big data processing is a plus.

  • SOCET or ENVI (Required)
  • ArcGIS (Required)
  • Arc Portal
  • Google Earth
  • JAVA, C++, MATLAB, Python, R or IDL
  • Ability to communicate in writing and briefing to an audience.

 

Military experience is a plus.

 

To qualify, candidates must have an Active TOP SECRET SCI Security Clearance.
