Strategic ACI has an immediate opening for a full-time Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Systems Analyst to join our team of experts supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Commercial SATCOM Center (COMSATCOM Center). 


The successful candidates’ responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Monitor communications status for all task orders

  • Monitor communications status for all task orders
  • Coordinate anomalies and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) reporting, tracking, and resolution and compile a weekly summary of outages from all sources
  • Maintain and disseminate global situational awareness for COMSATCOM
  • Create, submit and update trouble tickets into the DISA Ticket Management System for all outages
  • Assist in the creation and government issuance Commercial Satellite Service Authorization orders in accordance with (IAW) established DoD guidance
  • Monitor, oversee, and verify accuracy of FSS vendors’ Transmission Summary Plans.  Input FSS vendors’ Transmission Plans into all web-based information management systems to include the Joint SATCOM Management and Planning System, ensuring all systems are updated with appropriate related documentation.
  • Assist in defining operational requirements for implementation of regional remote spectrum monitoring systems and remote workstations.  Interface with users that are adversely impacted and commercial vendors to ensure commercial Network Operations Centers report, track and resolve EMI issues. 
  • Support RSSC WEST Field office in its overarching COMSATCOM role
  • Ensure compliance with policy for COMSATCOM operational environments.
  • Plan new site installations and optimize means for supporting bandwidth requirements.
  • Establish and maintain liaison with supported and supporting activities or units.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and hold a current DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant technical field.
  • At least 10 (10) years of relevant experience with either U.S. Military or commercial SATCOM systems that demonstrates the ability to meet the responsibilities described above.
